Why choose cold forming for medicinal aluminum foil?

There are cold forming process and hot forming process during the processing of medicinal foil. Why is the cold forming process more widely used in the processing of medicinal foil? What is the difference between cold forming, hot forming and warm forming?

Cold forming processing has high material utilization efficiency. Compared with machining of the same geometry, cold forging has a high material utilization rate and can significantly reduce material waste.

Cold forming on aluminum foil is faster and more productive
Cold forming enables high-speed manufacturing while still maintaining high precision and complex product geometries. No heating of the material is required.

Cold forming process can improve product strength through work hardening
The cold forming process is designed to account for fiber flow lines (the crystalline structure of the metal), resulting in stronger, more durable parts.

Aluminum foil cold forming custom manufacturing process can reduce certain costs
If the customer’s design (tolerances, geometry, number of parts required, atd.) is feasible using cold forming, part unit cost can be significantly increased and process complexity reduced.
