Blister aluminum foil packaging is a packaging material widely used all over the world. Because blister foil will directly contact medicines and is closely related to our health, we need to pay special attention to the testing of materials and whether they can meet relevant implementation standards. To test whether a medical blister aluminum foil is a qualified product, it often starts from these five aspects, including tensile strength, heat sealing strength, impact strength, aluminum foil pinhole degree, rupture strength, jne., of course, it is more refined. Will detect physical properties such as heat shrinkage.

The first item is the tensile strength of the blister foil:
Test purpose: The solid medicinal film needs to bear the weight of the content during use, and it is also subject to some external forces to verify whether its mechanical properties are qualified.
Inspection method: Tensile performance measurement method. The index is formulated according to the experimental verification results. The average longitudinal and transverse tensile strength shall not be less than 10Mpa, which is verified by the measured data. Usually, the film thickness is less than 0.05mm, and the required average value of elongation shall not be less than 130%. For films above 0.05mm, the average value must not be less than 200%.
Testing equipment: Smart electronic tensile testing machines are usually used for testing.

The second item is the heat sealing strength of blister aluminum foil:
Test purpose: the blister package must ensure the airtightness and mutual independence of each blister. The heat-sealing part of the independent blister needs to have good heat-sealing strength, otherwise, when one of the blister medicines is taken away, the rest is prone to moisture and air leakage, which will cause the medicine to become damp and deteriorate. Siksi, the detection of heat sealing strength is an important test index for the quality of blister foil packaging.
Test method: refer to the appropriate heat sealing parameters, heat seal a 100mm×100mm PVC hard sheet (stack the adhesive layer of the aluminum foil with the PVC sheet) with a heat sealer, and then cut the sample into 15mm wide. Take the middle three strips and perform 180° peeling with a tensile machine. The maximum work required for peeling is the heat sealing strength.
Test equipment: YYB-03 medical packaging tear tester is generally used for testing.

The third item is the impact resistance of blister aluminum foil:
Test purpose: The aluminum foil blister is often formed in the form of stamping, so it is of great significance to test the impact resistance of aluminum foil. The test can be tested with small steel balls, and the falling ball impact of the medicinal PVC hard film can be used to detect the blister. Whether the foil can be kept intact when subjected to external forces.
Test method: Take appropriate size samples, 5 samples in vertical and horizontal directions. Place the blister foil in an environment with a temperature of 23±2°C and relative humidity of 50%±5% for more than 4 hours in advance, and then perform a falling ball impact test with a span of 100mm. Select the steel ball and the height of the ball to make the steel ball free Drop at the center of the span.
Test equipment: LQ-50 falling ball impact tester is often used for testing.

The fourth item is the pinhole degree of the blister aluminum foil:
Test purpose: The bottom plate of the blister package is generally made of medicinal aluminum foil. The pinhole degree of the medicinal aluminum foil refers to the small penetrating holes in the aluminum foil. Its size and density determine whether the drug properties can be preserved intact.
Test method: Under a specific environment and light source, use the light transmittance of aluminum foil pinholes to observe the number of pinholes and measure the size of the pinholes.
