Surface quality: The surface quality of cold-formed aluminum foil is also very important. It requires a smooth surface, no scratches, wrinkles and other defects to ensure subsequent processing and use effects.

Dimensional accuracy: Cold-formed aluminum foil requires high dimensional accuracy, and the dimensional deviation of each part is required to be within a certain range to ensure that the processed product meets the requirements.

Material quality: The material quality of cold-formed aluminum foil also needs to be guaranteed, requiring the use of high-quality raw materials to ensure that the processed aluminum foil has good corrosion resistance and other properties.

Therefore, among the 1000-8000 series alloys, only the 1000 series and 8000 series alloys can be used as pharmaceutical packaging materials. Among them, only the 8xxx series alloys can achieve better results in cold forming processing.

In addition to 8021 commonly used in the 8000 series, 8011 aluminum foil is also one of the composite requirements.

The thickness of 8011 alloy aluminum foil is generally tens of microns, and the finished product is generally more than 300mm. The inner diameter of the core is 76mm, and the outer diameter can reach 500mm. The thickness tolerance is not more than 5%, which can well meet the cold forming medicinal requirements.

Aluminum foil specifications. At the same time, the cross-section of 8011 aluminum foil is neat, without defects such as pinched edges, cracked edges, loose coils, tower shapes, and lifting. The surface quality can be tested through a water brushing test, and the results can reach Grade A.

Therefore, 8011 alloy is suitable for cold forming aluminum foil.
